This website is under development by me, Erza. There still needs to be done major changes, thank you in advance for the understanding.
Hello, I am Erza Mehmeti (17), 1st year bachelor student violin at the KASK conservatory in Ghent, Belgium. Born and raised in Belgium. You may wonder what this website is used for! Well, this is a retrospective website where I indulge on my deep thoughts I have for classical music, how I'm part of it and what I want to achieve. This is also my portfolio. I'll try to cover some hot topics of the music world simultaneously. I'm not sure where this is heading or how to word my ideas, either way I'll try to maintain this blog -ish website.
Whoa that introduction went quick! Let me introduce myself accordingly first. I am Erza (17) and I was born in Belgium, Ghent but raised in Ninove by Albanian-Kosovan parents. I've been playing the violin for 12 years. I love listening to classical music and talking about it with friends. When I have time during my studies, I enjoy reading about current events in classical music, particularly in Gramophone and Strad magazines. Here and there I like dabbling into technology, e.g. computer languages, networking, ... and Linux stuff (open source Hell yeah!). At last but not least, I love my golden retriever dog 'Bora' a lot and spend a lot of time with her. She's my everything 🐾.
As a student at the conservatory of Ghent, I ought to have a portfolio where I document and talk about my artistic development. This is very important to me, because I want to see how I can improve in the long run but also in short terms. I have chosen to do this publicly, so you are part of it.
There is a specific concept that I use on this website. Every month, I write new ideas and articles (more to come later). This way, the website changes every month, so I always have new content. After the month is over, the content for that month is archived. , so you can consult the pages from previous months. You can find the archived pages in the menu under ‘archive’. This is not mandatory, but if you are interested in reading more, you can find it there.
